Q:

How can I show a message for the clients before disconnecting or logging them off?

A:

Enter the message you want to show on the message box within the policy properties in the management console then go to the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Extentrix\Tutis\Core Service\WaitOnLogOff" and set it to (1) then go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Extentrix\Tutis\Core Service\Waitseconds" and set the amount of time that the client should wait before disconnecting or logging him/her off in order to allow him/her to save his/her work. It represents the time to wait in seconds.

 

Q:

Extentrix Tutis Core Service checks for session update every five minutes. Can I change the check time?

A:

Yes, you can, by changing "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Extentrix\Tutis\Core Service\TimeToScan" registry key which represents the time period in minutes on which the active sessions are evaluated to apply the applicable policies. If this value is not entered, 5 minutes time period is used continuously to evaluate the sessions on the server.

 

Q:

How can I determine the action if the policies could not be applied because of errors reading and writing to the virtual channel on the client side?

A:

Go to the registry editor and set the following registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Extentrix\Tutis\Core Service\DefaultAction" This registry key determines the action to be taken if the policies could not be applied because of errors communicating with Tutis Agent because of an error on the client side, the administrator can set this option to:
(0) : Disconnect the session
(1) : Log the session off
(2) :Take no action. The session will continue to be running as normal and no policies will be applied.
By default this value is set to 2 (No Action).

 

Q:

What is the time that the “ExtentrixTutis” database checked for any update?

A:

Every 300 seconds = 5 minutes.

 

Q:

How can I change the periods of database periodically update checking process?

A:

By changing "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Extentrix\Tutis\Core Service\ DatabaseCheckInterval" registry key which represents the time interval in seconds that service should wait before checking if there are any database updates. The service will periodically do the check.

 

Q:

How can I join more than one Extentrix Tutis Core Services and more than one management console with same “ExtentrixTutis” DB?

A:

At the first installation of Extentrix Tutis Core Services the setup will create the “ExtentrixTutis” database for you, in the following installation of the Extentrix Tutis Core Services or Extentrix Tutis Management Console just provide the same credential used to create the database, and the setup will look if there is any created “ExtentrixTutis” database and join it.

 

Q:

How can I grantee the security of the virtual channels between clients’ machines and server?

A:

The underlying protocols can guarantee that.

 

Q:

If too many sessions connect to the server how the core service will handle them all? And what is the maximum number of sessions that the core service can handle?

A:

The maximum number of sessions is determined by the license; the trial license allows up to 100 sessions, if the maximum number of sessions is reached, then any extra sessions will not be handled.

What are the supported versions of Citrix Presentation Server that Extentrix Tutis Supports?

A:

Citrix Presentation Server 4.0, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and Citrix Presentation Server 5.0 (Citrix XenApp)
