Thinstall is an Application Virtualization Platform which enables software to be delivered in an isolated environment. This means no changes are required to the file system and registry of the host computer. Thinstall Application Virtualization works completely in user space with no device drivers, which means it can run on all versions of Windows without Administrator rights. Thinstall protects the host operating system from installation modifications that could affect stability or security. The Thinstall Virtual OS (VOS) technology component is less than 300K on disk, occupies approximately 1MB RAM at runtime, and has neglible impact on memory consumption and CPU performance. Applications can be virtualized without any source code changes for use with a USB key or other distribution method.
