Scan Name: Extentrix MAC Address Scan.
Description:
Detects the media access control (MAC) address for each network interface card (NIC) or network adapter on the client device and compares the address against a data set containing the list of valid MAC addresses.
This scan requires you to create a data set listing valid MAC addresses. The MAC addresses in the data set should be in the format NN-NN-NN-NN-NN-NN, such as 00-0F-A1-06-B3-E9.
Parameters:
• MAC Address set: A set of valid MAC addresses.
Scan Output:
• Allow Access: A Boolean output which indicates whether the client MAC address belongs to the given set of MAC Address or not.
TRUE: Indicates that the client MAC address belongs to the specified MAC Address.
FALSE: Indicates that the client MAC address does not belong to the specified MAC Address.
• License Status: A String output which indicates whether the scan is licensed or not.
TRIAL LICENSE: Indicates that the scan has a trial license and it is in trial period.
INVALID LICENSE: Indicates that the scan license is expired or doesn’t have a license.
VALID LICENSE: Indicates that the scan is licensed.
Note: If the License Status has an Invalid License value, the Allow Access will be false.
To install a custom end point analysis scan package follow the steps below:
1. After starting Citrix Access Management Console, in the console tree select the Endpoint Analysis node.
2. Right click and then select Import scan package from the pop-up menu that shows up.

Note: You can choose to insert the scan package to a specific scan package group. To do that, select the desired scan group, right click and choose
“Import scan package” from the popup menu that shows up as shown in the following screen shot:

1. A dialog box titled “Select Scan Package File” will appear. Select the (.cab) file which contains the Extentrix MAC Address Scan.

The scan name will be displayed in the management console as shown in the following screen shot:

Follow the steps below to create scans and rules for the Extentrix MAC Address Scan.
1. Select ExtentrixMACAddressScan item to highlight, right click and then choose Create Scan from the pop-up menu that shows up.

2. Type a name for the scan and then click Next. As an example, let us type
Scan 1.

3. Select scan conditions that apply to your scan and click Next.

4. Type a name for the rule of your scan and click Next to configure conditions.

5. Select the Operating System(s) that applies to your scan and click Next.

6. Select the settings you want to apply to your scan then click Next.

7. Define a data set using a comma delimited .csv file. To do that, click on New Data Set to import the file. The file will have a list of valid MAC Address.

8. A dialog box titled “New Data Set” will appear. Type a name for the new data set in the first field then use Browse Button to locate the .csv file.

9. After defining the data set, click OK.

10. After defining the data set, click Finish.
Editing Extentrix MAC Address Scan Data Set
You can edit the value of the set later after you create the data set to change values or remove or add options. The following steps demonstrate how you can do that:
1. Right click Endpoint Analysis in the management console tree and select
Manage Data Set from the action menu.

2. A window titled “Data Sets” will appear. Select the data set you want to edit then click Edit button.

3. A window titled “Edit Data Set” will appear.

4. In this dialog box, you can insert a new value, edit an existing value or remove unwanted value, then click OK.
