Extentrix Web Services 1.0 – Management Edition Enables Citrix Application Delivery Platform Management through Standard and Open Industry Web Services.

Extentrix Web Services 1.0 – Management Edition provides an extensive set of web services APIs. That allows developers to manage Citrix Presentation Servers and be able to control action functionalities (such as delete Admin, enable session, disable application, etc.) that simplify the process of managing Citrix presentation Servers through the Web.
Built on a standardized SOAP protocol, XML and WSDL, Extentrix Web Services 1.0 – Management Edition allows integrated communications with the Citrix application delivery platform, from other application and management tool platforms.
It works closely with Extentrix Web Services 2.0 – Application Edition, which gives developers unlimited power to securely launch and enumerate Citrix Published Applications through standard protocols.
For the first time, Citrix customers can now have administrative tasks integrated within their products or portals through Industry standard Web Services. Citrix customers will be empowered with easier ability to do the job through simple interfaces and integration with their own tools.
It comes with a free web based management Console that utilizes the new web services APIs. Extentrix Web Access Management Console allows administrators to perform the same functionalities as Citrix Web Access Management Console but over the Web without the use of an ICA connection.

● Ability to control remotely
Controlling Citrix Presentation is usually done using Citrix Management console, Citrix Access suite, or using any developed application that uses the MFCOM APIs. All of those previous approaches are held in the presentation server itself, and you need to be logged in locally or through an ICA Client. Extentrix Web Services allows you to remotely manage Citrix Farm by incorporating its APIs into your portal or into your favorite management tools.
● Easy to use web based client
Extentrix Web Access Management Console is a web based client that utilizes the new web services APIs. Its UI has a familiar tree based design based on Citrix Access Management Console, which provides you with rich functionalities to perform tasks easily and with a detailed support manual.
● Platform Independent and Simple to Integrate
It is platform and language independent, so it works with whatever programming language you use or on whichever platform you are run on. Just import the WSDL file, and you have integrated communications.
● Rich set of APIs
It supports the functions administrators need to administer Citrix Presentation Server (such as all information about servers, sessions, applications, Administrators…) yet does not consume an ICA connection license or its associated cost.
● Reduce IT support
It can also allow the users to reset their sessions or get specific information about their sessions without having to call support.
