Citrix Mobile Console by Extentrix is the mobile tool for administering computers running Presentation Server remotely using mobile devices handheld or mobile phones running Citrix ICA client on their mobile devices.   With your mobile device and by using the Citrix Mobile Console, administrator can monitor all users, sessions, servers and applications running on any Citrix Presentation Server.

The Mobile VM Manager was developed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and the VMWare software development kit (SDK). The development of this application illustrates the advantages of using Visual Studio to develop applications that can be delivered to a smart phone through Citrix Presentation Server.

The developer was able to take full advantage of the Visual Studio feature set including debugging and the entire . NET framework. If this application was developed to run directly on the smart phone it would be limited in terms functionality available, it would be more difficult to debug and troubleshoot issues, and it would have to be customized for every supported operating system.

It is a mobile application that is implemented on the template of Extentrix Mobile Device Starter Kit for Citrix Presentation Server. It is a mobile application whereby a personal mobile device can connect a database and go viewing, editing its entries and contents. Data retrieved from the database will be bound to the UI elements (Tree and list views) and toolbar buttons actions will be mapped to SQL queries.

Extentrix Web Services for Citrix Presentation Server provides a suite of web services APIs that allows developers for the first time to integrate Citrix published applications into their products and portals. It enables users to access Citrix application delivery platform by invoking an open standard web services API. Being built on SOAP protocol, XML and WSDL, Extentrix Web Services for Citrix Presentation Server represents a standard way to communicate with the Citrix application delivery platform.
